    Any chance for vegie pepperoni?

I'm originally from the US and I can get a few varieties of good vegie peperoni there but I've never seen it in Australia.  Any chance that Santiarium will make it?  If not, does anyone know of another source?

They used to make an awesome product called Not Pepperoni in their Not range. They deleted the entire range and replaced it with yucko alternatives. I've asked a few times over the years for a replacement but Sanitarium have stopped caring about what customers want.  They also used to make the yummiest lunch meat ever -called Kaiser Royale- kind of tasted like ham and was great on a pizza but sadly that too is gone along with the old version of Country Style burgers that actually had a meaty flavour. Now I've just heard that all of the yummy dry stuff is gone (oh how I mourn the passing of susage rolls!) and my old fave canned rediburger- no wonder I haven't been able to find it.Sad

Boo to you Sanitarium. You've gone way downhill over the years.

A UK company called Redwood make cheatin' pepperoni (vegetarian pepperoni.) You can get it from crueltyfreeshop.com.au and www.veganperfection.com.au. They also have other cheatin' varietys (cheatin' ham style slices, cheatin' chicken style slices, cheatin' streaky rashers.)

Other than that there are a few recipes on the internet for vegetarian pepperoni. I'll actually post one in these forums (if I haven't done so already.) I haven't made it yet but it's supposed to be good.
